I needed a few essentials from Superdrug, so I decided to pop in and have a look at the beauty sections too… and now my bank account is crying a little bit! But I thought as I got a few things, I would show you what I got; so keep reading!
The first thing that I picked up, was a very boring and plain thing: 4-in-1 Cleansing Wipes by B. which is Superdrugs own beauty brand.
I decided to get these because as I was having such a good time with the skin care products from the same range, and I was running out of my micellar wipes, so I decided to to change it up this time!
I know a lot of people will probably look down at these wipes, because they aren’t liked much, but I like them and generally wipes work for my skin, so I got more! These were priced at £2.99.
The next thing I got was the Real Techniques 2x Miracle Complexion Sponges, and I got these because I needed to replace the ones I already have.
I am in love with these sponges because when wet, they apply my make up flawlessly and so easily! I won’t use anything else to apply my foundation and concealer, they’re amazing. These two packs of the sponges, cost £9.99.
I have been eager to get my hands on some setting spray and because I know that Revolution don’t test on animals and when I saw they did one, I had to get it!
I hope it does what it says on the tin and impresses me so I have to go back and get another one; but even so, it only cost £5 so it was an utter bargain!
Moving on, I realised I hadn’t got any black eyeliner left, so I decided instead of getting the MUA one I got last time, which wasn’t very good for the waterline, to upgrade a bit and go with the GOSH Black Velvet Touch Eyeliner.
I haven’t had an issue with anything from GOSH so far and I have three of their products at the moment, so I know that the eyeliner should be good! It is priced at £5.49.
I wanted to try another brands matte liquid lipstick, so I went to the Sleek Makeup section and picked out three colours I liked!
I have heard good things about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer so I thought I would pick one up, because why not? I have also been looking for a drugstore concealer on a stick, and when I saw this one did, I knew I had to get it!
I got the lightest shade there is, which was fair and it is a very good match for me, so hopefully it does what I need and works well with my normal skin! The concealer was £4.19.
I have wanted to try contouring for a little while now, but couldn’t justify buying a highend contour palette yet when I have no idea how to do it, so I decided it was time to get a drugstore one and a basic one, so I went with Revolution’s Light/Medium Sculpt and Contour Kit.
I hope it isn’t too dark for my skin as I am super duper pale, but we will see when I try it out eventually! This was £3.50 so mega cheap, so even if it doesn’t work, then oh well…
I recently hit the pan on my Benefit blusher, which as they test on animals means I need to find some sort of replacement from a brand that doesn’t; so I decided to try out the MUA Luxe Velvet Blush which was £3.
I am a bit skeptical of the shade as it is super pink looking, but it might become quiet subtle when I put it on – that’s the hope anyway!
To go with those, I got a lovely Studio London Blusher and Contour Brush to use on the above products – as that is what it’s for.
I haven’t used a proper brush before, so I thought I’d try one out and see how it goes. This brush cost £4.99.
The next thing, is very different and isn’t really beauty related as such, is a cream for my eczema. I have a hard time with my hands when it comes to my eczema and the winter and they can get really bad, so I am hoping that this cream works for me as it’s designed for that.
It is called Cetraben Cream. There were two sizes to choose from, but I went with the smaller one incase it doesn’t work as well as I hope. It cost £4.99.
Finally, the two things that I actually went into Superdrug for, was a new deodorant as I had somehow mislaid mine (trust me, it happens) and a new shampoo.
So… That is everything that I got, and it was quiet a mini haul! I hope that you enjoyed. If you did, don’t forget to like this blog!
